In order to maintain the layout of your documents / books, standard formats I can manage without significant adaptation (before or after translation) are:

– Microsoft Office : .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .rtf, .txt, .csv

– OpenOffice / LibreOffice : .odt, .ods, .odp

– Adobe : .pdf (text, image on request), .indd (InDesign) .idml (transfer InDesign)

– Web : .htm, .html, .xml, .shtml,  .aspx, .php, .inc, .jsp

– FreeMind mind map : .mm

– Other : po / mo (CMS language files, …), most graphic formats (but require OCR treatment prior to translation), .hhc/.hhk (MS help files)

If your documents are in another file format, it is possible that I can convert them without (much) problems, do not hesitate to contact me, I will find a solution (a surcharge applies if the conversion requires significant operations).
